The food! Oh the food!

One of the coolest things about cruising is the dining. On the Disney Wonder you receive a lanyard with a plastic tag holder and on the name card are the initials TAP. This tells you your first night of dining is in T for Triton, followed by A for Animators and lastly, P which means Parrot Quay. Your dinner rotation will always be in this order for the duration of the cruise so you know which dining room to go to. All of your serving staff will follow you in this rotation so that you really get to know them and they you. It's great fun! You do have a menu each night to choose your meal from. I like to take photos of the meals and desserts! Thought I'd post a few here from our nightly dining experience. Just to clarify though, this cruise was the last prior to a two month refit in Spain and many changes are in store, particularly the restaurants and other venues. There are also two or three (??) bars....lounges which will also receive redesigns. I can't wait to see the changes!

As well, you may opt to enjoy a Palo meal, this is an adults only restaurant which you pay for but the food is superb and the service is impeccable. It is gourmet Italian food with an impressive wine list. We took Josh there to celebrate his 25th birthday and they did not disappoint. As it turned out we had the same cute server on this cruise as the last one. The other dining option is Beach Blanket Buffet. Most of the time we enjoyed our breakfast or lunch here. There is also an ice cream station for big and little kids, a pizza, hot dog or other fast food eateries on deck 9 and a fresh food outlet with salad, wraps etc.

Although not considered an eatery, the Outlook Cafe, an adults only lounge was my favourite for relaxing out of the heat. There are easy chairs, couches or tables and chairs, but the theme is mainly relaxation. You may order a special coffee or latte or a cocktail or wine etc. These are also put on your charge account. You may also just go and sit in there and read which I often did! There are little cool cabinets in each part offering a selection of sweets....ask, or help yourself.
