Vacation 2018

Just a note about the tree....it was Mardi Gras a week or two ago and people threw all their beaded necklaces on the trees by the exit! Pretty cool huh! Day 4 and our last day at Universal
As I write this today, a day spent lounging around the pool and in the pool prior to our departure tomorrow, I have to say this was such fun, but I'd want to wait a few years before I went again! The crowds of people trying to make their way through the park and all of the rides and events and sections is mind boggling! Probably the busiest section was at Harry Potter World, Hogwarts and Hogsmead. People just seemed to congregate there rather than looking and passing on. There is the Hogwarts express train which will take you from one side of Harry Potter World to the other and it is great fun. It has to be experienced to appreciate it all. Sometimes you have to go through these places many times just to see it all, and often you will discover something you missed several times before. But, having seen it now, and knowing new sites and events are to be opened, then would be the time to go again.

Day 3 at Universal
Sunday morning is a better time to go to Universal we discovered, it's not so crowded. Perhaps a lot of folks go to church or choose to sleep in on Sunday morning. Our pace was a little slower today. I wore my white support hose and they certainly did the trick for swelling. The redness on my ankles is beginning to fade. DIsney rash! Who knew!!!
Rae and I got talked into going on the ride....Revenge of the Mummy! Paul told us it wasn't bad, sort of like some of the ones we have been on.....um, no! It was an indoor roller coaster. We are plotting our revenge.....🔮
Some of the rides are just fun. You are issued 3D glasses and the video is excellent as you either experience 4D in seats that rock or tilt a bit, give you a wee spray of water or air or think spiders are close to your feet!!!!, or are carried along on rail tracks or overhead tracks. Universal day two
Today was April Fools day and no great jokes played, thankfully! Fir some strange reason, I've been having an issue with ankles swelling, at first I put it down to the plane rides and being relatively immobile for hours and hours. Elevating my feet has helped. Then yesterday after spending about8 hours there, I ended up once again with swollen ankles along with an angry looking rash on both ankles, one worse than the other. I think I have discovered the cause....I'm a fairly good internet practitioner in medical things.....(speaking very tongue in cheek)! It has happened to a great many folks who go to Disney Land and Universal! It actually is called The Disney Rash. You can google it......and, see the photo of my lower leg.

Universal at Orlando
Monday, March 27th was travel day. We arrived at our rental house in the dark and quickly sorted out the six bedrooms! Tuesday morning arrived....late morning, as we were all exhausted after our 3 am morning call to get to our respective airports for 4! We mainly spent the day shopping for food and getting unpacked and organized.
Wednesday, yesterday, we were up and out the door just before 8 and headed to Universal. What a great fun day. Basically we did the rides throughout the park, although the "Hulk" roller coaster was not on my agenda, my granddaughter Cass, who is 11 loved it and would have gone again! The two boys, Jared and Jacob went off on their own for a bit, but we all met for late lunch at two, then again for 7:30 when it was time to leave. The rides were awesome, the 3D. Effects with the glasses brought the video to life! In King Kong, you actually felt like the T Rex was coming right into your face and the gigantic gorilla....you could almost feel h
