Feet keep on walking more shopping to do

It is Thursday of our first week here in Kailua Kona on Big Island, Hawaii.  The plan for today was to drive out to the Queens Market at Waikaloa to find the 'Crocs' footwear store.  Personally, I'm not a big fan of the clunky looking ones that are popular today so in the clearance section I did find a pair of the 'Z' ones I like for $29.00 so I'm happy.  Even Barb found a pair of black sandals as well.
Once we left there, I drove us up to Hamakauas Macadamia Nut Company in Kawaihae.  I'd been a few times prior with other friends and family.  It has changed a bit inside but they still provided samples of all the different flavours of coatings on the nuts so you can purchase the canned flavours you like.  We liked a few!  Hey!  You can even get spam flavoured ones!! We watched a video of the process from tree to package.  The factory wasn't working inside today to watch so perhaps it's off season for macs?  At any rate we sat and ate ice ream cones, Barbs was chocolate Mac, mine vanilla Mac.  I could sink into its nutty goodness if it was in a bathtub and id be in heaven, freezing heaven, but hey, sometimes you have to put up with a little discomfort.
Macadamia nut trees are originally from Australias northeastern New South Wales and southeast Queensland areas.  The nuts were a very important bush food to the Aboriginal peoples.  They were introduced to Hawaii in the 1880s, and also are now grown in South Africa, and they have become the worlds largest producer since 2010.

Yesterday and today we watched a lady come down to the swimming pool and tie herself to one of the rails into the pool.  Well, it was more a rope tied to a belt around her. Then she would begin to swim in place with a snorkel in her mouth and a face mask on.   🏊‍♀️

So another beautiful day in paradise is at end.  Speaking personally I feel like it's time for bed, but it's only 7:00 pm!  Tomorrow we have yet to decide what to do but Barb suggested we do a bus tour, and a luau and I'm all for it!  So perhaps we will make those arrangements tomorrow.  If nothing else we can ways surf ABC stores! πŸ‘
I bid you all goodnight and Aloha!
