Day 3 at Universal

Sunday morning is a better time to go to Universal we discovered, it's not so crowded. Perhaps a lot of folks go to church or choose to sleep in on Sunday morning. Our pace was a little slower today. I wore my white support hose and they certainly did the trick for swelling. The redness on my ankles is beginning to fade. DIsney rash! Who knew!!!

Rae and I got talked into going on the ride....Revenge of the Mummy! Paul told us it wasn't bad, sort of like some of the ones we have been on.....um, no! It was an indoor roller coaster. We are plotting our revenge.....🔮

Some of the rides are just fun. You are issued 3D glasses and the video is excellent as you either experience 4D in seats that rock or tilt a bit, give you a wee spray of water or air or think spiders are close to your feet!!!!, or are carried along on rail tracks or overhead tracks. We repeated the ride called Despicable me and the Minnions, that's my favourite and also the Gringotts ride down into the dungeon like vaults. Transformers and Men in Black are kind of cool. Because it sprinkled a few drops some of the rides are stopped, perhaps the rain and electricity outside don't mesh??? Anyway, we were all prepared to go to the Jurrasic Park ride but it was one that was shut down! Got a couple of photos of some local dinosaurs.

Stopping for late lunch about three is good, especially when we can go to a sit down air conditioned restaurant. I had a lovely lemon and shrimp penne pasta dish. Cleaned up every scrap too!

Jared and I headed off to explore Hogsmead together. We went into all the little shops, it really is all about the money isn't it? Every shop has basically the same sort of mementos or clothing and is it ever pricey! Want to buy a Harry Potter wand for your special witch or wizard? $40 to $50! And, we saw lots of little and big kids holding them. All in all, it is great fun, you make of it what you will and we loved it. We have one more day there but pace ourselves with a day off so to speak, in between to rest and enjoy our pool and sunshine....or take in some retail therapy! When the temperature is 30 to 33 who is complaining.

My son Paul showed me a photo taken with their security camera this morning outside on their driveway in Alberta......It's white rain! We still have three days here, hopefully a chinook will happen by the time we get back to Alberta.
